Florida Sand Music Ranch Tree Planting Program

The Tree Planting Program at Florida Sand Music Ranch is a community-driven initiative to support the health and beauty of our campground and to honor the legacy of the Ranch and its supporters. Trees may be sponsored by anyone- individuals, families, or groups to celebrate life events, or to honor or memorialize loved ones.

Families wishing to sponsor memorial trees will have the option to schedule an individual ceremony by contacting Ranch management.

The general public and all groups or individuals who sponsor trees are invited to participate in a tree planting camp-in. This will help in many ways- allow wholesale purchasing, reduce delivery cost per tree, provide for uniform size and quality of trees and make the actual planting (hard work!) easier on everyone. The next tree planting weekend is tentatively scheduled for early to mid- June, 2026.

All trees will be native, site-appropriate species such as Live Oak, Longleaf Pine, or Cypress, and will be planted in a location chosen by the Ranch to ensure ecological suitability and sustainability.

All trees will be acquired by and delivered to the Ranch. They will be at least 5’-8’ in height and planting will be accomplished or supervised by qualified personnel.

Tree sponsors may purchase separately a laser engraved stainless steel 5” x 8” commemorative plaque that will hang directly on the tree (nothing on the ground please) and an entry in the Tree Registry. (Contact info for our preferred vendor is available on request.)

Program Details:

 Donations will include the first year of maintenance for sponsored trees by Ranch staff and volunteers. Additional care and support from sponsors is welcome but not required.

Annual Planting

All trees will be planted in mid-June just prior to the start of the rainy season. Participants may sponsor the planting and care of a new tree prior to this planting event or adopt a tree after the planting. Sponsorships will be recorded in the Tree Registry, and includes optional mention on the Ranch website or bulletin board.

Tree Planting in Honor or Memory

Planting a new tree is a meaningful way to honor or remember someone special. Dedications can be made for birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, musical contributions, or in memory of loved ones.

Suggested Donation: $300 per tree
