Florida Sand Music Ranch Tree Planting Program

The Tree Planting Program at Florida Sand Music Ranch is a community-driven initiative to support the health and beauty of our campground, honor the legacy of Ranch members and supporters, and deepen our connection with nature. Trees may be sponsored or planted by individuals, families, or groups to celebrate life events, honor loved ones, or memorialize members of our extended family.

Families wishing to sponsor Memorial trees will have the option to schedule an individual planting ceremony by contacting Ranch management.

All other trees sponsored by groups or individuals are asked to participate in a tree planting camp-in. This will help in many ways - allow wholesale purchasing, reduce delivery cost per tree, provide for uniform size and quality of trees and make the actual planting (hard work!) easier on everyone. The first semi-annual tree planting weekend is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 11-12, 2025.

All trees will be native or site-appropriate species such as live oak, longleaf pine, or cypress, and will be planted in a location chosen by the Ranch to ensure ecological suitability and sustainability.

All trees will be acquired by and delivered to the Ranch. They will be at least 5’-8’ in height, and planting will be accomplished or supervised by qualified personnel.

Each planting includes a commemorative 5” x 8” plaque hung directly on the tree (Please note nothing is to be placed on the ground ), an entry in the Tree Registry, and the option for a short dedication during the community gathering (other times may be coordinated with Ranch management).

Maintenance & Stewardship

 Suggested donations will include the first year of maintenance for sponsored trees by Ranch staff and volunteers. Additional care and support from sponsors is welcomed but not required.

Program Options

 Sponsor a New Tree

Participants may sponsor the planting and care of a new tree on the Ranch. Sponsorship includes a personalized dedication plaque, name recorded in the Tree Registry, and optional mention on the Ranch website.

Suggested Donation: $375 per tree

2. Tree Planting in Honor, Memory, or Celebration

Plant a new tree in a meaningful way to honor or remember someone special. Dedications can be made for birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, musical contributions, or in memory of loved ones.
